Publisher

Opulart (opulart.com) is published by a private individual resident in France, in a personal and non-professional capacity.

Under article 1-1, II of French law no. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004, a non-professional publisher may withhold their own identity from the public, provided they have given it to their hosting provider. That has been done, and only the host's details appear below.

The works

Every work shown on Opulart is in the public domain. They come from two museums that publish them as open access:

The text shown beneath a work is the text published by the Cleveland Museum of Art. The National Gallery of Art's visual descriptions, written for blind and low-vision visitors, are used by the search and by screen readers, and are not displayed.

Every work links back to its record on its museum's own site. Neither museum is a partner or sponsor of Opulart, and neither has endorsed it in any way.

The site itself

The name Opulart, the site's code, its design and its interface text are the work of the publisher.

Reporting a work

If you believe a work is not in the public domain, or that you hold rights in it, write to contact@opulart.com. It will be taken down while the matter is checked.

Links to other sites

Opulart links to the museums' own websites. The publisher has no control over their content and cannot be held responsible for it.
